Life in itself is overwhelming.  It can be difficult to marvel at what has come and gone and what is still on the horizon.  Matt Whitney looks beyond what happens immediately around him, and sees into those interactions that help to define us as humans. If a photograph captures the immediate reality, Whitney paints to capture the spiritual, the emotional, and the mysterious which make up reality – a result of being still and finding reflection in the experiences, relationships and events that make up life.
